I am an enthusiastic and experienced English tutor with a lifelong passion for English Language and Literature. I bring my love of reading and writing to every lesson and always aim to inspire confidence, curiosity and genuine enjoyment in my students.

I graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in English Language and Literature and went on to earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). I have taught English in a London secondary school, working with a wide range of learners, including high-achieving students and those with EAL, SEND and SEMH needs. During this time, I also served as Head of House, supporting student wellbeing and planning whole-school events.

I have been tutoring for over seven years, and for the past five years I have specialised in GCSE and A Level English. My approach is rigorous, supportive and carefully tailored to individual goals, and my students consistently exceed their predicted grades.

I have extensive experience preparing students for A Level English and have taught across multiple exam boards. I have also supported students through the full coursework process from initial planning through to final drafting. In addition, I have marked A Level mock papers and a large volume of A Level homework, giving me strong insight into the demands of the assessment objectives and how to help students meet them with precision. Alongside this, I have attended standardisation training, which has strengthened my general assessment knowledge.

In 2024 I completed an internship with The Story Project, where I designed and delivered literacy and PSHCE sessions that developed emotional literacy through fiction. I am passionate about the transformative power of literature and strive to ensure that every student feels supported, capable and motivated to reach their full potential.
